Finished at last.
Yesterday I finished the site and I am very proud of it. It is just want I wanted. Simple, funny and easy to navigate. YES!

AHHHHHH!
OK. So Monday was not the day after all. Having a hard time with the design. I want it to be simplistic, just like the Georgia Nutts comic strip. I just have to suck it up and finish it. I am going to give myself another deadline....This Sunday--NO LATER!!!

Dreams
Most of my short story ideas come from just looking at people and wondering ...what if...
Sometimes I'll have a dream that seems not to make sense and that would become a novel. Because those ideas come from dreams, my novels never seem to have a end. I become too satisfied with the story in my head and the idea of sharing is somewhat daunting.
Lately I have experienced some really good writing in some movies I've viewed and I think to myself,
"Ahhhh, that person just got their dream."
Just when I am sure I know my dream is... it shifts and just like my on going novels, something in the idea falters and I have to redesign the concept.
Honestly, I am tired of redesigning. I just want the dominoes to fall as predicted.

FACT AND FICTION
As a budding writer, I love the experience of churning the knowledge in my mind to come up with fictional stories that, most certainly, pleased me before I consider others. One such work of fiction is my novel in progress called 29. The lead in the story is able to travel from one solar system by fantastic yet plausible means and it is somewhat daunting that modern science is making my ideas laughable fiction. Now I have go to back and re-write, but that's OK, since I still get to have so much fun.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — NASA's planet-hunting Kepler spacecraft has confirmed the discovery of its first alien world in its host star's habitable zone — that just-right range of distances that could allow liquid water to exist — and found more than 1,000 new exoplanet candidates, researchers announced Monday.
The new finds bring the Kepler space telescope's total haul to 2,326 potential planets in its first 16 months of operation. These discoveries, if confirmed, would quadruple the current tally of worlds known to exist beyond our solar system, which recently topped 700.
The potentially habitable alien world, a first for Kepler, orbits a star very much like our own sun. The discovery brings scientists one step closer to finding a planet like our own — one that could conceivably harbor life, scientists said.
"We're getting closer and closer to discovering the so-called 'Goldilocks planet,'" Pete Worden, director of NASA's Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., said during a news conference on Monday.
Hunting down alien planets
The $600 million Kepler observatory launched in March 2009 to hunt for Earth-size alien planets in the habitable zone of their parent stars, where liquid water, and perhaps even life, might be able to exist.
Kepler detects alien planets using what's called the "transit method." It searches for tiny, telltale dips in a star's brightness caused when a planet transits — or crosses in front of — the star from Earth's perspective, blocking a fraction of the star's light.
The finds graduate from "candidates" to full-fledged planets after follow-up observations confirm that they're not false alarms. This process, which is usually done with large, ground-based telescopes, can take about a year.
The Kepler team released data from its first 13 months of operation back in February, announcing that the instrument had detected 1,235 planet candidates, including 54 in the habitable zone and 68 that are roughly Earth-size.
To date, just over two dozen of these potential exoplanets have been confirmed, but Kepler scientists have estimated that at least 80 percent of the instrument's discoveries should end up being the real deal.

Issue 3 may not be up yet but I did manage to upload our videos to you tube. It was my first time doing that. I never paid much attention to uploading stuff since I was too busy trying to download stuff from my brain..
I know...I should take my husband's advice more often (don't tell him I said that) and relax. I can't too it all--especially when I give myself deadlines that are hard for me to keep.
The real reason for the site delay is because of the flaws I see within my design. What I want to do and what I still have to learn is vast. But that is one of the reasons I began the GNG, so I can force myself to improve my skills.
Speaking of skills...I have completed the editing process of my first documentary. I am going to include both of the vid links but mine is the one with my name on it...DAH! ^_^

Running the GNG
I am DAP Tales and all I want to do is write.
OK...that concludes the end of today's affirmation statement. Now ...on to the bitchin'.
This stuff is hard!!! The Georgia Nutts Guild is supposed to be a guild and very few of us are writing or creating artwork. This group is not meant to become just one of the marketing tools that some people think it is...(WOW, I hate ending a sentence with a preposition)
Sure we want to gain readership and slowly introduce our artwork to the public for sale but the purpose of the guild is to be supportive in the development of skill as well as collective marking of the end product. I think fokes forget that part.
End of bitchin'.
Moving on. As the leader of the GNG I am currently working on the new presentation of the site. It is not as friendly as I would like, but the changes are looking humorously promising. Monday. Yes... Monday is going to be the day I release the new site onto the world (maniacal laughter)!

Dap tales: Class dismissed.
People are strange. So strange I am beginning to wonder if I am approaching enlightenment. I have decided to throw my hands to the sky and accept the fact that the world will turn whether or not I pass a test or didn't get somewhere on time. Life is so much sweeter when you decided to leave crap where it belongs...in the toilet.
Each of my classes is $3000 each and these strange people in my class have elected to text random crap and sling arrows on their facebook pages rather than pay attention. Why did they bother to go after a degree? Watching people fool and tell lies to themselves is much sadder than I realize. There is a guy in my class who I've nicknamed...small man...Well, small got a 52 out of 100 in class. I watched him glance at the paper, sigh sadly and then he typed in his fb page "Great day today, aced the test...(blah blah)" I did not read the rest. It was bad enough I was a maco.
For shame, small man...don't sweat it, 'cause if you keep things inside and not be yourself, you'll end up like a holy minister I met in a nursing home who, for some reason, need to be a flasher.
